League Officials and Organization Structure

Our Organization

The Northeast Baseball and Softball Association is a non-profit youth sports organization in Wichita, Ks. Currently, our Board of Directors consists of nine volunteer individuals that have played, coached, umpired, and loved the game of baseball. It is through this love of the game that they are committed to sharing baseball with area youth in a manner which is safe, educational, and fun. We strive to build the most desirable organization in east Wichita for that purpose. The organization receives it funding through registration fees, donations, and sponsorships. If you would like to be more involved in Northeast Baseball as a volunteer or by making a monetary donation or by being a league sponsor, contact Mark Cass at (316) 258-8500 or by email at

Board Meetings

With the 2016 season quickly approaching league officials continue evaluating our methods for  establishing a quality summer experience for all of our members. As registrations become clearer we see the first returns of our efforts. If you would like to be a part of the volunteer group of dedicated individuals, new board members are always appreciated and beneficial to our leadership team.  If you would like to attend the monthly board meetings please contact League President, Mark Cass, for dates and times.

Good Spirit

Into every season rain will fall.  The successful completion of each summer campaign does not dim the personal tragedy that struck Umpire Coordinator, Robert Sinks, with the passing of his wife, Thelma, early in the 2009 campaign. The dedication shown by Bob will never be matched.

"It's something every family will face," Bob says, "It's just our turn."  Perhaps that is true, but very few would have their spouse pass away in the morning and still attend to duties later that evening. "I'm responsible," he says, "She would have wanted me there." Somewhere in the delicate balance of dedication and passion maybe wives do understand.  Many of us hope so.  It is within that spirit we will be continuing an assistance plan and memorial to Thelma Sinks and family.  Gifts can be mailed to:
